Wawasan Open University College is a people's university dedicated to the working professionals and adult learners. It is the Malaysia's first private not-for-profit higher learning institution to adopt the open distance learning approach and designed to be among the most up-to-date in the world.
It is one of Malaysia's response to the demand for a knowledgeable, skillful, enterprising and socially responsible citizenry to meet the challenges of the globalised environment. Bringing quality and industry relevant programmes, which are flexible and self-paced in approach to suit the lifestyle of the average working adult who wishes to study for accredited qualifications or for personal enrichment.
Wawasan Open is founded by the concerned citizens both from the society at large as well as the corporate sector, who share the common knowledge and education that can make an enormous difference in people's lives, societies' well being and nations' development.
It is funded by the Wawasan Education Foundation, a tax-exempt entity supported by donations and other charitable organisations, corporations and members of the public.
